Southeastern Railway

Southeastern has been running the train service between London and Kent and parts of East Sussex since 2006. We operate one of the busiest networks in the country including the UK’s first domestic high speed service with Javelin trains. Southeastern is operated by Govia, a joint venture between leading transport operators Go-Ahead (65%) and Keolis (35%). We work closely with Network Rail

South East who provide railway infrastructure across this area.

We run train services into London from Kent and East Sussex, operating over 2,000 trains a day, carrying more than 640,000 passengers a day, serving 176 stations and covering 540-miles of railway infrastructure.

Our Javelin trains travel at high speeds up to 140mph from London St Pancras International or Stratford International to Ebbsfleet International and Ashford International, that go on to call at many stations across Kent – including Canterbury, Margate, Ramsgate, Dover, Whitstable and Folkestone. So, you can get where you need to be, faster.

We work with many partners across the network, including Folkestone Creative Foundation, and continue to support local independents and businesses. With a wealth of activities and experiences to be had across the network, we focus on promoting these hidden gems to provide inspiration to people for things to do and places to visit.
